EMERGE: Online Workshop

EMERGE: Online Workshop

EMERGE is for those of you who were TTC, gave birth, experienced a pregnancy loss, or were newly postpartum in the first years that the pandemic ground our lives to a halt. Being denied community support during this time was devastating. While the rest of the world has “gone back to normal” you might still be feeling left behind. So let’s find each other, connect, grieve, and celebrate our resilience as we emerge on the other side, together again.

As we reach the fourth anniversary of the day the entire world shut down, and as we celebrate the first week of spring (as our natural world begins to thaw and bloom after a long winter), I invite you to celebrate your resilience, strength, and emergence through mothering in a very strange time.

In this online one-day, three-hour circle you will:
-Connect with other mothers of similar-aged children

-Tap into your sources of strength and resilience

-Write, discuss, meditate, and engage in other processes on the themes of motherhood to distill the pearls of wisdom you’ve gained through your unprecedented transformation

-Laugh, cry, share, eat snacks, drink tea, and celebrate!

Register here.

Summer Solstice Postpartum meetup + Meditation

Copeland Sculpture Garden @ Delaware Art Museum, 2301 Kentmere Parkway, Wilmington DE 19806

Register here | Free admission

Celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice and tune into the light you shine into the world as a mother. Integrate your postpartum return and connect with fellow mothers who have walked the birth path in a supportive, grounded space. We will meet in the sculpture garden, sit in circle to meditate, journal, and create intentions, and witness each others unseen transformations through some pair activities. This isn’t your average “mommy group.” Be ready to share, get vulnerable, and feel seen and supported.

Note: The intention behind this gathering is to honor and celebrate your transformation as an individual into motherhood. Because we will be meditating and engaging in other introspective activities, the presence of children can be distracting, both to you and the other participants. Very young infants who are still breastfeeding and not yet crawling may attend; however I respectfully ask that crawling-aged children and up stay in the care of another loving, trusted adult. It is not often that we as mothers get quiet moments to ourselves, so I am excited that each of you will have some precious "alone" time to reflect and connect. I plan to offer this event again in September, so if it is not possible for you to attend this season’s event without children, please know there will be space for you at the next one!

Postpartum Spring Equinox Labyrinth Walk

Postpartum Spring Equinox Labyrinth Walk

  • Copeland Sculpture Garden Labyrinth @ Delaware Art Museum (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

For postpartum* people.

Integrate your postpartum return, meet special guests in the local perinatal wellness space, and connect with fellow mothers who have walked the birth path in a supportive, grounded space. We will meet in the sculpture garden, sit in circle to meditate, journal and create intentions, then witness each other walk the labyrinth.

Why the labyrinth? The labyrinth is a powerful symbol of the hero’s inward journey. The path of a labyrinth has many twists and turns that can leave you to feel disoriented, but unlike a maze, there are no wrong turns. Labyrinths are beautiful symbols of the transformative journey through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Each of us walks our own unique path with its own turns and challenges, and emerge forever changed.

*Postpartum doesn’t end six weeks after you give birth. Postpartum is forever. Anyone who has birthed a baby in their lifetime is welcome in this space.

Registration information: This offering is free, but pre-registration is required. Sign up here.

Note: This event is not sponsored by the art museum; all inquiries regarding this event can be made through the contact page or at lunamarbirthwell@gmail.com.
